No matter what term you use, bushwalking, trekking or hiking is probably one of the most mentally relaxing activities known to humans. Blue Mountains bushwalking can be enjoyable in almost any weather, and is a wonderful way to experience the sights, smells, and sounds of the bush. Our guided bushwalks are second to none, as we offer detailed information on the geology, flora, fauna as well as Aboriginal and European cultural history. In reality, they are true and unique eco-experiences.Choose from our huge variety of bushwalks, ranging from a few hours to full day walks. We offer interpretive bushwalks and other activities in several National Parks, including the Wollemi, Gardens of Stone, Kanangra-Boyd and the Blue Mountains National Park.
All trips include all equipment and fees. We will run any trip for just two people. Please note that if there are only two booked, there is an additional fee of $25 per person for the full day, and $15 for the half day program.
Half and Full Day Walks
Select from an amazing variety of half day walks, including Doctor Dark's Cave, the Grand Canyon and Lockley's Pylon. Full day walks include Du Faur's Head, Federal Pass, National Pass, Mount Solitary, the Pagoda track, Nellie's Glen, Carlon's Head, Devil's Hole, Lindeman's Pass and Roberts' Pass.
Overnight Walks
There are overnight walks into the Grose Valley Wilderness, within the Jamison Valley, and spectacularly remote regions such as Pantoneys Crown in the Gardens of Stone National Park.
Wilderness Expeditions
For those people looking for longer walks, but without the hassle of carrying everything in a pack, the world famous Six Foot Track is a wonderful three day escape.
For a more extreme adventure, you might want to encourage a group of friends to join you on a three day rafting expedition down the longest sandstone gorge in Australia, following the course of the Colo River. More paddling than walking, this requires balance and endurance. We do recommend a day of canyon rafting down the Wollangambe River as a pre-requisite to this trip.
For the fittest hikers, experience the 4 days of solitude on an extended trek from Kanangra Walls to Katoomba, through the Kanangra Boyd Wilderness region.
Some of our walks appear in Rough Guides, see http://www.roughguides.com/website/shop/products/Australia.aspx and also on the Go Nomads website, see http://www.gonomad.com/market/0908/green.html
