This interesting trip centres around the continuing desert fauna and flora research studies with a prominent university. Started about 20 years ago by Zoology Professor Chris Dickman, this is a unique opportunity to work alongside university research graduates in the Simpson Desert, trapping and tracking Australia’s nocturnal and hidden wildlife.

You will be expected to assist in the field, clearing pitfall traps twice a day, and there is ample opportunity to explore the area and ephemeral lakes and billabongs as well.
