More Information

This Simpson Desert Four Wheel Drive Expedition, departs Broken Hill, passes through the Flinders Ranges, follows the Oodnadatta Track, taking in the remote locations of Dalhousie Springs and ruins, before cutting east across the Simpson desert to Birdsville.

The trip for August / September 2010 will focus primarily on areas along the Eastern side of the Simpson Desert, particularly where good water flow from the Qld floods earlier in 2010 have brought excellent conditions to the outback regions.

Arriving in Birdsville, the tour travels south to Innaminka, Coopers Creek, the Dig Tree, before returning to New South Wales at Cameron Corner and the Dingo Fence. Then across to Tibooburra and through to White Cliffs for the conclusion of the journey.

Camping is both in caravan parks with facilities, and in remote locations in the desert.

Optional flight over Lake Eyre is additional, and highly recommended.
